67 Clicker is a mobile idle clicker game that pretty much defines the genre on Android. I picked it up from Google Play after seeing it had a decent number of installs, and being a fan of games where you just watch numbers go up, I had to give it a shot. Right from the start, it feels familiar if you've played any other clicker game before. You tap an image of a basketball player, earn currency, and buy upgrades to earn more per tap and eventually earn passively over time. It's a simple loop that attracts people who want a low-effort time waster without needing to focus too much. I wouldn't say it's groundbreaking, but if you enjoy grinding toward bigger numbers in short bursts, this fits right into that niche. It's a free download with ads and in-game purchases, but you don't need to spend anything to progress, just patience.
The core gameplay loop is straightforward. You start by tapping the player to earn coins, then spend those coins on upgrades like increasing tap power, adding click multipliers, or hiring assistants to earn coins automatically when you're not playing. The game uses a prestige system called "rebirth" which resets your progress but gives you a permanent bonus that speeds up future runs. This gives the game some strategic depth because you have to decide when to reset to get the most out of your playtime. The controls are just tapping on the screen, and the interface is clean enough to navigate without much confusion, though it does get a bit crowded with menus later on. What I enjoyed most was figuring out the most efficient upgrade path to maximize my idle earnings. It's satisfying to check back after a few hours and see that you've made enough progress to buy the next major upgrade. The missions and challenges also give you small goals to chase, which breaks up the monotony of just tapping and upgrading.
Compared to something like Adventure Capitalist or Tap Titans 2, 67 Clicker feels a bit more basic and less flashy. In Adventure Capitalist, you manage multiple businesses with different upgrade trees, which adds more complexity and decision-making. Tap Titans 2 has a bigger focus on combat and tapping to fight monsters, with much more visual feedback. 67 Clicker strips things down to a minimal interface and a single progression path, which some players may prefer for its simplicity. It doesn't have the depth of those games, but if you want something that's easy to pick up and put down without needing to learn a dozen systems, this might work better for you. The art style is pretty simple, just some cartoonish characters and basic backgrounds, so it doesn't compete visually. Overall, it's a decent alternative if you find other clickers too complicated or just want a pure number-go-up experience without fluff.
features
- Tap to Earn ⚡ The main gameplay is just tapping the player to earn coins, and it's as simple as it sounds. You tap faster, you earn more, and you buy upgrades to make each tap worth more. Compared to Tap Titans 2 where you also have to aim at enemies, this feels a lot more mindless, which is good for some and boring for others.
- Idle Earnings ⚡ Once you buy assistants, they collect coins automatically even when you're not playing. This is the part that keeps you coming back. Come back after a few hours, collect your idle earnings, and buy a big upgrade. It's a satisfying loop that works well for casual play. Games like Adventure Capitalist do this better with multiple idle income sources, but this is fine for one income stream.
- Prestige System ⚡ The rebirth mechanic resets your current run but gives you permanent multipliers that make each new run faster and smoother. It's a classic prestige loop. You have to decide when to reset, because resetting too early or too late can slow your progress. This adds a layer of strategy that keeps the game from being just a straightforward grind.
pros
- Satisfying Idle Loop: I really like the feeling of checking the game after a few hours and having enough coins to jump multiple levels. The idle earnings are balanced well enough to make progress feel meaningful without making tapping feel pointless.
- Simple Controls: The game is easy to pick up. You just tap, upgrade, and reset. There's no complicated learning curve, so you can play while watching a show or just waiting somewhere.
- Replay Value from Prestige: The rebirth system gives you a reason to keep playing even after hitting a wall. Each reset makes you stronger, so there's always a goal to chase.
cons
- Repetitive Gameplay: After a few hours, it can get really boring. It's the same loop over and over again, and if you don't enjoy seeing numbers go up by themselves, you'll probably lose interest quickly. The variety is very limited compared to Tap Titans 2 which has events and bosses.
- Ad Interruptions: Ads pop up quite often if you want extra boosts or rewards. You can skip most of them, but they feel intrusive sometimes, especially when you're trying to watch a short video for a bonus and then another ad starts.
- Progression Slows Down: After the early game, progress hits a noticeable wall where upgrades cost a lot more and you have to wait longer. This is typical for the genre, but some players might find this grind too slow without making purchases.
